Strengthen mind, body & spirit

Escape to the beautiful French Alps with me this autumn, for a week of Kundalini Yoga, breathwork, Energy Medicine & hiking. We will Immerse ourselves in the stunning natural surroundings while finding inner strength and clarity through daily yoga practice.

Nature in Autumn

If we observe Nature at his time of year, she is releasing a long exhale. Surrendering, letting go of everything that is no longer necessary. There's clarity, space, a sense of freedom,

The energy of nature is turning inwards. I love this time of year and the idea of releasing, nurturing and gathering our energy and strength back into ourselves!

Autumn is associated with the lungs, breath & movement. Inner strength, vitality & discernment.

When we are in balance our lungs and life force are strong. our breath flows freely. we are clear, strong, spacious, inspired & deeply connected.
.
We seek simplicity, and are able to distill everything in our lives so we are left the pure essence of what we need, what is nurturing for us. We become closer to spirit.

Retreat

In our week together we will breathe, move, create space, gain clarity, and be inspired! We will strengthen our body, minds & spirit (and lungs & life force!) with daily yoga practice, hiking, mantra, meditation, good food and good conversation!
Listening to the wind, soaking up the energy of the mountains and forests, watching the clouds, and reconnecting deeply to nature & the flow of the seasons.

“The psyches and souls of women also have their own cycles and seasons of doing and solitude, running and staying, being involved and being removed, questing and resting, creating and incubating, being of the world and returning to the soul-place.”

Dr. Clarissa Pinkola Estés

“Climb the mountains and get their good tidings. Nature’s peace will flow into you as sunshine flows into trees. The winds will blow their own freshness into you, and the storms their energy, while cares will drop away from you like the leaves of Autumn.

Practices for Autumn

Reflect

Autumn is a time to reflect. Take some time for yourself and reflect on your life and the past year. Starting a journal and write everything down its a powerful way to gain clarity.
What is good in your life? and what not so good? Does there need to be change? What nourishes you? What needs to be released? What makes you happy and more deeply connected?
Go over every aspect….job, relationships, hobbies, emotions, interests. Don’t just look outside of yourself, take time to take a good, honest look at what is going on inside. When the energies of nature are turning inwards, it's also easier for us to go deeper into our inner worlds. Making changes on the outside while still holding on to things that really need to be released from the inside will not have lasting effects. Self inquiry is one of the most powerful (and often eye opening!) practices we can do

‘To be aware of a single shortcoming in oneself is more useful that to be aware of a thousand in somebody else’
HH Tenzin Gyatso XIV Dalai Lama of Tibet
Breath

Be aware of the breath. Spend time in nature and breath deeply. We come into this world with our first breath, and we leave with our last breath. With every breath in between we are fully alive. We inhale the universe, and when we release the breath the universe inhales us. How magical!
Release

Rub your hands to create warmth and place them on your lungs. Breath deeply drawing in warmth and nourishment feeling the lungs soaking up this life force energy.
Breath is pure, healing chi. As the healing chi reaches your lungs they turn into a beautiful, shining white.
Breath in inspiration and everything that is pure & new.
Exhale with the sound ssssssssss, releasing the old, the stagnant and any sadness or grief that has been held too long in your lungs. It’s time to let go….
Do this 5 times. Sit quietly and send gratitude and love to your lungs. Feel the space you’ve created. Breath is the link between the physical and the subtle. When we create space in our lungs we have the potential for flow and powerful connection in our lives
